Description:
The Low Code Application Developer works in an environment crafting application software utilizing 3rd party tools. This position combines elements of traditional software development, business process mapping, and utilization of software generating tools known as ‘Low Code Development’. ConnectFSS has implemented technologies built and supported by OutSystems to support Low Code development. The successful candidate must have good understanding of business functions logic, process mapping and flow, ability to consume and produce requirements definitions, understand multi-tier software application architecture and data storage architecture, and be able to master technically advanced tools. Must possess strong communications skills including reporting on project status, interaction with various project stakeholders and teammates, and be able to articulate issues found within the Low Code development environment (verbal and written) with internal and external resources.
Key Responsibilities:
· Create software solutions using a Low Code Application Development Tool. Connect FSS is specifically utilizing ‘OutSystems’ tools for this function.
· Deliver across the entire application life cycle – concept, design, build, deploy, test, release and support developed applications.
Develop and modify Low Code applications so they meet security standards and maintain confidentiality and privacy of client data within the applications.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and applications developed in Low Code. Collaboration including within Low Code team as well as with .NET Server/API development teams and Database Administrators through application development process.
· Present ideas and designs to other team members and stakeholders.
· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle shifting priorities.
Skill Set:
Skills & Experience
· More than 3 years’ experience in software application development, implementation, deployment, product design or support.
· Experience building applications, integrations or automating processes with scripting languages, use of a Low Code development tool (preferably OutSystems), or other technically advanced toolsets.
· Preferably experience in financial technology industry, such as core banking systems, online/mobile banking applications, account opening, electronic documents processing, or other integrated systems.
· Strong project management experience, ability to managed competing priorities and complete work timely.
· Strong verbal and written communications skills.
· Understanding of Agile/Scrum processes, ceremonies and approach to software development.
· Understanding of multi-tier and object-oriented software design.
· Understanding of web-based interfaces including SOAP and RESTful APIs.
Experience with a Relational Database, preferably MS SQL. Writing queries, stored procedures, reporting and data storage concepts.
Experience Azure DevOps preferred.
· Excellent logical thinking and deductive reasoning skills.
· Quick learning, adopter of technological solutions.
Other / Bonus
· Ability to confidently scope and estimate work.
· Strong testing/QA skills.
· Team or process management experience.
· Certification or experience with OutSystems Low Code development tools.
Required Education/Certification:
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience and/or certifications.
