Flexiti Financial is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to join its IT team. Supporting the AVP/Director of Software Engineering, the Software Engineering Manager will manage all the activities of the Low Code Development team; sets attainable goals to team members for the work to be finished on plan; identifies and leads opportunities to improve team productivity; and is technical thought leader on the team.
What you will be doing:
- Build, develop, manage, and support a new high performing Engineering team using Low Code (LC) development tools.
- Hire, coach, and mentor software engineers. Build a strong cross-functional team
- Manage the overall software development lifecycle, adopting as needed to suit rapid Low Code delivery implications.
- Engage with IT leaders in building Engineering Delivery Excellence, including software development practices, standards and processes, specifically acting as the voice of Low Code Engineering needs and associated value proposition.
- Manage Engineering using best practices for delivery of scalable and high-quality software.
- Provide delivery expertise to create, prioritize, communicate delivery plans, and commitments.
- Report on status of development, quality, operations and system performance to management.
- Engage with architecture and lead efforts to develop the best technical design and approach including integration of applications with other software systems.
- Foster a culture of continuous engineering improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics.
- Discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions

What you should have:
- 3-5+ years of hands-on experience with Low code / no code platforms
- 3+ years of leadership experience
- Ability and experience in growing a high functioning development team
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Someone who likes to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty; but is happy to work independently
