Role Overview:
Partner with business stakeholders and end users to understand process needs, brainstorm solutions, and leverage Low Code Application Platforms (LCAPs) as enabling technologies for sustainable process improvement
As a member of the Data Science Center of Excellence, develop Process Improvement and Technical skills among collaborators throughout the organization
Partner with IT administrators and business stakeholders to plan roadmap and lifecycle of LCAP applications in coordination with implementation of enterprise data systems
Serve as the voice of the customer to guide application development and manage the development backlog. Design, develop, and implement high-quality applications to meet business and customer needs:
- Configure and customize vendor-provided Low-Code Application Platforms (LCAPs)
- Develop features and capabilities for end users internal and external to the organization
- Incorporate feedback from business stakeholders to guide continuous process improvement
Key Responsibilities:
Lead product strategy, planning, and life cycle management efforts for Low Code Application Platforms (LCAPs) in coordination with other enterprise data systems (SAP, LIMS, Orion, etc) throughout the organization
Develop strong relationships with stakeholders and deep business processes understanding to shape strategy, prioritize needs, and inform process improvement recommendations
Collaborate with business stakeholders, system administrators, project managers, and end users to understand functional and non-functional requirements
Where LCAP capabilities are appropriate for business needs, develop and implement applications using these tools to support sustainable and efficient business processes
Plan integrations with, and migrations among, LCAP applications and enterprise data systems
Increase adoption and utilization of LCAP capabilities
Coach and mentor business owners, application managers and developers
Monitor technology trends to inform strategy and proactively propose new solutions
Ensure alignment and adherence to corporate, financial and IT standards (e.g., architecture, compliance, security).
Define, track, and communicate relevant KPIs for the product to measure performance and contribution to business goals and strategy
Promote a collaborative team environment and work closely with colleagues to achieve business objectives
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
8+ years’ experience with Process Improvement and Application development
Leadership experience and ability to direct team workflows
Skills and Experience:
Required:
Demonstrated success in defining and building applications with Low Code platforms (e.g. QuickBase, SmartSheet, ServiceNow, SalesForce)
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, including experience leveraging technology to improve processes
Relationship building and collaboration skills across diverse and matrixed stakeholders and customers
Ability to understand complex business problems and identify and interpret business needs
Facilitation and influencing skills to drive decision making among stakeholders with diverse perspectives and priorities
Growth mindset and a willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and frameworks
Desired:
Experience with Agile development methodologies, knowledge of Agile planning tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)
Strong proficiency in one or more coding languages (e.g. SQL, VBA or MS Office Scripts, API integration)
Experience utilizing APIs to connect tools across multiple platforms
Familiarity with querying relational databases (e.g. SQL) and report building (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, DOMO)
Experience supporting vendor software packages
Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Methodologies (Lean Operations, Six Sigma, DMAIC, PDSA, etc)
