Low-Code/No-Code Developer - Senior

The Low-Code/No-Code Developer Senior will use business process management (BPM) software to design, implement, and automate business processes and software application functionality based on prioritized use cases. The resulting automation will drive value through business rules optimization, clinical content management, automated learning mechanisms, and product performance.The position plays a key role in the development of internal software applications that enable population health management at UPMC Health Plan. The role works closely with Product Management, IT, Clinical Operations, and Analytics teams to optimize the design, development, and performance of proprietary clinical software and digital applications that transform the healthcare experience for members, staff, and providers.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with product and technical development teams to integrate automated rules and workflow processes in alignment with evolving architecture and software requirements.
Effectively test workflows and support the product development teams in testing of full integrated process.
Operate as a subject matter expert providing support on use cases developed for business process automation platforms.
Develop a governance process and community to provide support and resources.
Establish a forum for developing and exchanging best practices among users and stakeholders.
Meet deadlines and turnaround times set by supervisor. (These deadlines will, at times, require the employee to work until the project is completed, meaning extended daily work hours, extended work weeks, or both.)
Maintain up-to-date information on status and effort related to each project.
Implement and promote best practices, tools, and methods.
Develop and maintain working relationships with internal UPMC health.
Plan departments, and external contacts as appropriate.
Coordinate ongoing communication with other departments or internal teams as needed.
Maintain policies and procedures of the team/department.
Provide technical consultation and act as an expert point of reference to peers, direct reports, other business areas, senior leaders, and external customers.
Provide ongoing job-specific training to new team members.
Present strategic recommendations to senior leaders to influence organizational decision making.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's degree, B.S./B.A. in information systems, healthcare, business, or related field/degree. Masters preferred.
Experience relevant to agile product or process innovation, understanding the product development lifecycle.
5 years of experience working with APIs (such as REST and SOAP), database connectivity, web services, and .NET architecture.
Required: 5 years of experience translating business requirements into process or technology enhancements.
Prior experience with workflow automation software or low-code/no-code development tools is a plus.
Must be able to assess and address complex business problems, as well as understand the detailed product and customer workflows.
Manage specific product requirements and roadmap related to the development of workflow automation processes, templates, and governance procedures.
Ability to translate a business process from a workflow diagram, and to illustrate a written process description as a workflow diagram.
Exceptional teamwork skills with a demonstrated record of partnering with teams across an organization.
Strong logical and problem-solving skills and the ability to ask why questions to solve the right problem.
Strong oral and written communication skills and a professional demeanor.
Experience and knowledge of managed care industry are a plus.
Ability and desire to think creatively to deliver business results independently and as part of a team.
Experience in the development of packaged data assets/products.
