Position Overview

路 Passionate about creating great software that delights customers.

路 Write clean, robust, testable, maintainable code and release it to Production, fast.

路 Manage day to day activities in an effective and professional manner

路 Embrace and support the IT Development engineering best practices and agile development methodology and ethos of continuous improvement.


Essential Job Functions:


Technical Responsibilities

路 Write amazing, simple, maintainable, flexible code to deliver agreed team outcomes

路 Write tests and run them. Use TDD and BDD where appropriate.

路 Commit, Integrate, Test, Build and Deliver code

路 Work with the Product Owner Group to understand your customer鈥檚 need

路 Work with the team on continuous improvement on the 鈥榬oute to Production鈥 process, with fast and effective end-to-end delivery in mind.

路 Help maintain clear communication around features and change with all stakeholders

路 Adhere to development standards, policies and procedures.

路 Team Responsibilities

路 Work closely with other team members to create cohesive software.

路 Work closely with peers to understand fully business requirements.

路 Show flexibility to respond to the changing needs of the business.

路 Actively contribute to the process of continual improvement, with regard to self, team and systems

路 Perform support as required

路 Work towards team goals and personal objectives

路 Be a champion for your area within the IT and business organisations.

Qualifications, Experience, Competence:

Qualifications

路 2:1 or First class degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or similar technical degree.

路 Strong secondary education (鈥楢鈥 at A-Level equivalent) in Maths, Physics and/or other numerate subjects

Experience


路 Demonstrable programming ability with understanding of underpinning techniques.

路 Experience working in a team setting

路 Experience in full software development lifecycle from design to deployment

路 Experience using SCRUM or other Agile methodologies.

路 Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
